Old Dominion's self-fulfilling prophecy: “Happy Endings” lives up to its name

RCA Nashville Old Dominion decided to name their sophomore album Happy Endings, and so far, it’s living up to its title. This week, OD’s second record debuts at the top of Billboard’s country chart, as it checks in at #7 on the all-genre tally as well.

“You’re looking at 5 humbled and grateful guys,” the band tweeted, along with a photo mentioning their nods for both Vocal Group and New Artist at the upcoming 51st CMA Awards. “After a week with a #1 song and #1 album — we get these nominations. #THANKYOU”

After a week at the top of Billboard’s country chart, Happy Endings‘ lead single, “No Such Thing as a Broken Heart,” ascends to #1 on the Mediabase ranking as well.

Old Dominion kicks off their fall run with Thomas Rhett September 22, with a sold-out show at L.A.’s Greek Theatre.
