It looks like there’s a race shaping up for the District 20 State Senate seat. Democrat Quinten Burg of Wessington Springs is on the ballot. The Secretary of State’s website indicates Burg filed today (Wednesday). Republican Representative Josh Klumb of Mount Vernon announced his intentions to run for the seat in January. Incumbent Republican Senator Mike Vehle of Mitchell is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to the Senate.
Burg is a former legislator.
District 20 includes Davison Aurora and Jerauld counties.
