Kenny Chesney Shakes His Money-Maker to the Tune of $40 Million

ABC/Image Group LAKenny Chesney is country music’s biggest money-maker for 2015, according to a new list from Billboard. The “Noise” hitmaker raked in an impressive $39.8 million last year, with the majority of his earnings coming from this Big Revival tour.

CMA Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan also ranks in the top ten, landing at number seven with a more than 23 million-dollar payday, enough to outrank both U2 and Adele, who didn’t tour even though she had a massive record. Even though Chesney ranked higher on the list overall than Luke, it’s interesting to note that the “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” singer sold more records.

Jason Aldean, Shania Twain and Florida Georgia Line arrive in the top twenty, with Eric Church, Brad Paisley and Toby Keith finishing in the top-40 as well.

Country alum Taylor Swift comes in at number one overall, bringing home $73.5 million, mostly from her 1989 trek.
