CMTThere may be no stopping Carrie Underwood at the 2016 CMT Music Awards, but Cam and Chris Stapleton are giving it a shot. The “Smoke Break” hitmaker already has a record six Video of the Year trophies to her credit, and she’s up for an award in the category again at this summer’s ceremony.
First time nominees Cam and Chris also vie for CMT’s big trophy, tying Carrie for the most nominations this year, with three each. Thomas Rhett announced the contenders Monday morning on NBC’s Today show, with a new category still to be revealed June 1.
The 2016 CMT Music Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena June 8 at 8 p.m. ET. Here’s a complete list of the nominees, with voting underway now at CMT.com:
