ABC/Image Group LAIt looks like Carrie Underwood’s place as Keith Urban’s duet partner might not be as secure as it seems. The American Idol winner trades vocals with the Australian superstar on the tune “The Fighter” from his new album Ripcord, but in a new Facebook video, his Oscar-winning wife sings Carrie’s part.
“Oh my God, I love this song!” Nicole squeals as it starts to play while the two are sitting in what appears to be an SUV.
“Good — thank goodness!” Keith jokes from the driver’s seat, before the two launch into a lip-sync of the track.
“Oh my goodness, I love this!!!!” Carrie shared on her socials several hours later, including the video as well. “Could they be anymore adorable?! And she sounds pretty good, too!”
Carrie and Keith will get a chance to do their duet live, as they tour his homeland together in December. Whether Nicole and her boo would ever consider singing the song together onstage is yet to be seen — though she has said she and the couple’s daughters do plan to come along on the trek.
Earlier in the week, Nicole posted a video of her singing along to Keith’s latest single, “Wasted Time,” from the trailer of her new HBO series Big Little Lies.
