"If I Were a Carpenter": Alan Jackson, Home Builder

Courtesy of Ply GemKeosha Hendricks of La Vergne, Tennessee recently got an unforgettable housewarming present — Alan Jackson on her porch, handing over the keys to her new home. Alan stopped by to represent the Home for Good project, his partnership with Ply Gem that uses his song “You Can Always Come Home” as its theme.

“This is the reason why I love this country so much,” Alan told Keosha as she and her daughter fought back tears. “We step up and we give of our time. This is just a house, but you and Akori’ will make it a home.”

In all, Alan and the North Carolina building products manufacturer will help construct close to three hundred Habitat for Humanity homes through their work together.
