Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott Keeps Father’s Day Plans Low-Key

Capitol Records NashvilleIn addition to putting the finishing touches on the new, faith-based album she recorded with members of her immediate family, singer Hillary Scott is back at work with Lady Antebellum, which just kicked off a summer tour schedule of fairs and festivals after a short hiatus.

As a result, she plans to keep the Father’s Day celebration with drummer husband Chris Tyrrell and their daughter, Eisele, low-key this year.

“I think it will be a relaxed day,” she says of the holiday, noting that she’ll encourage Tyrrell to play basketball or do whatever else he wants to do. “More than anything it will probably just be a really relaxed movie night,” she says, “probably something Pixar or Disney….Just quality time.”

Meanwhile, she’ll also be appreciating her own father, Lang Scott, on Sunday.

“My dad is a really incredible man, and…a very strong man,” she says. “He’s all of the things that you pray to have in a good daddy. My favorite thing about him is he’s always…communicated with me and asked me how I felt about things, how I was doing with school or with friendships. He’s the first person I call when I have a problem or a question. I come home, I talk to my husband…and then I call my dad.”
