ABC/Image Group LA Kelsea Ballerini not only clocked several more dates on Rascal Flatts’ Rhythm & Roots tour this weekend, she also took time to lift the spirits of some special youngsters. The “Peter Pan” songstress partnered with Musicians on Call to take her music to the bedsides of patients, families and caregivers at Children’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.
“The smiles that they bring to patients and families is immeasurable,” Kelsea says of the nonprofit, “To be… a part of the launch of a brand new program is a real honor.”
After her performance for the group, the Knoxville, Tennessee native visited with the kids who weren’t able to leave their rooms to come hear her sing. The Academy of Country Music’s charitable arm, ACM Lifting Lives, helped fund the new Phoenix program.
