Capitol NashvilleOf all the songs on his new album Ripcord, Keith Urban says his new release, “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” has always been a standout favorite.
“I’m just glad it’s coming out,” the Australian superstar tells ABC Radio, “because a lot of people have been responding to this, really from when we first recorded the song, and there was a lot of want for this to be a single early.”
Next up is the accompanying video, and Keith says that’s a process he particularly enjoys.
“I do a lot of collaborating. I was just talking to somebody yesterday about that — Carter Smith, who directed the new video that we have coming out… He’s a phenomenal photographer. And I said, ‘I love collaborating with people, in any form, whether it’s videos, writing, producing, recording.’ Because you really, you learn so much from each other and you grow from it, you know. You come away from that collaborative experience very different.”
This week, Keith and his tourmates Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris roll into Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina, before landing in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on Saturday.
