ABC/Paula LoboDuring their recent trip to New York City to promote their new album, Dig Your Roots, Florida Georgia Line stopped by ABC’s The Chew to tape an episode that airs on Friday.
Ironically, it was host and Nashville native Carla Hall who ended up showing Brian Kelley a thing or two about the heritage of his adopted hometown, teaching him how to make one of the foods that made Music City famous.
“The funny thing is, we made hot chicken,” Carla laughs. “So, we made fried chicken and this was their first — Brian’s, it was his first time frying chicken. I’m like, ‘Dude, you’re from the South! What are you talking about?’ So that was good. I’m like, I’m showing him his roots!”
You can catch Carla, along with Brian and Tyler Hubbard, in the kitchen on The Chew on Friday. It airs at 1 p.m. ET on ABC.
