Louisiana-Born Trace Adkins Pitches In to Help His Flood-Ravaged Home State

BBR Music GroupLouisiana native Trace Adkins is turning his Saturday night show into a chance to help his home state. He plans to donate his fee from his September 17 concert at Delta Downs in Vinton, Louisiana, to the American Red Cross, in the wake of flooding that’s claimed 13 lives and caused close to $9 billion in damage.

The “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” hitmaker is no stranger to lending a hand. On Thursday, the United States Army will give him its Outstanding Civilian Service Award, which happens to be the third-highest public service honor the Army can bestow on a civilian.

Trace recently released the lyric video for his new single, the uptempo “Lit.”
