Legacy Recordings/SonyEven though she’s been forced to postpone some upcoming dates as she recuperates from minor surgery after a recent fall, Loretta Lynn certainly isn’t slowing down in other respects. Next month, the 84-year-old will release her second album this year, just in time for the holidays.
White Christmas Blue boasts a dozen new recordings produced by the only son of Johnny Cash and June Carter— John Carter Cash — and Loretta’s daughter, Patsy Lynn Russell. The Country Music Hall of Famer penned the title track herself, for the second volume of recordings from Cash Cabin, where the Man in Black did his acclaimed American Recordings.
Here’s the track listing for Loretta Lynn’s first yuletide collection in half a century, due October 7:
“White Christmas Blue”
“Country Christmas”
“Winter Wonderland”
“Away in a Manger”
“Blue Christmas”
“To Heck with Ole Santa Claus”
“Frosty the Snowman”
“Oh Come, All Ye Faithful”
“Jingle Bells”
“White Christmas”
“Silent Night”
“’Twas the Night Before Christmas”
