Dolly Records/RCA NashvilleThough her signature song “I Will Always Love You” may be her best-selling tune, Dolly Parton has often said that “Jolene” is her most-covered composition. Now, it’s Dolly herself who’s putting a new spin on her number-one single from 1974.
Dolly offers a new rendition of the song inspired by both a bank teller who had designs on her husband and an adorable red-headed child she met at a concert, with the help of a capella sensations Pentatonix. The two artists teamed up to promote Dolly’s number-one album, Pure & Simple, which is available as an exclusive deluxe edition at Cracker Barrel.
