Country Music AssociationFor the first time ever, country legend Loretta Lynn will be a part of this year’s CMA Country Christmas special, which tapes next Tuesday at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House. The Country Music Hall of Famer will do music from her new album, White Christmas Blue, which came out last month.
The Coal Miner’s Daughter joins returning host Jennifer Nettles, who’s just one in a long list of performers who happen to have new yuletide projects as well, including Brett Eldredge, Amy Grant, Sarah McLachlan, Kacey Musgraves, Rascal Flatts, Trisha Yearwood and Chris Young.
Two of Nettles’ guests on her To Celebrate Christmas project also will take the stage during the two-hour show, R&B sensation Andra Day and Broadway actress Idina Menzel. Brad Paisley, Kelsea Ballerini and Kelly Clarkson also are on tap to bring on the holiday cheer.
You can experience the 2016 version of CMA Country Christmas when it premieres Monday, November 28 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
