ABC/Image Group LAAfter a week that saw Brothers Osborne win ASCAP Song of the Year for their number-one breakthrough, “Stay a Little Longer,” and then take home the CMA Vocal Duo of the Year trophy in the night’s biggest upset, you’d think things couldn’t get much better for John and TJ — but they did. This weekend, they got to celebrate with a sold-out show in their hometown, at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland.
“The amount of love and support we’ve felt in the past week is something that we’ll carry with us forever. I still get choked up thinking about it,” John confesses. “The timing of Saturday’s show couldn’t have been more perfect than getting to share this moment with the people that were there from the very beginning, watching us play in bars as teenagers with our dad. This journey has been an incredibly long one but we’ll never forget the ones that were there for us along the way. Without them, it wouldn’t have been worth it.”
“This week was not only a win for us but for them as well,” TJ agrees, “and it felt so good to be able to go back to our home state and celebrate with them all.”
With their latest single, “21 Summer,” poised to break into the top-20, the siblings continue on The Dirt Rich Tour, with new dates just added in Seattle, New Orleans, Houston and Nashville. Tickets for those shows go on sale this Friday.
