ABC NewsWhile most country artists seemed to steer clear of directly addressing the outcome of Tuesday’s presidential election, a few took to social media to share their thoughts.
“Doing a quick spray tan in honor of our new President elect…” Cam joked.
Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild took it a little farther perhaps, sharing a photo from last Wednesday’s CMA Awards, along with the caption “Back to happier times last week with @BrothersOsborne. Love you boys from the bottom of our heart.”
The new CMA Vocal Duo of the Year kept it positive, tweeting “No matter how you might feel about the outcome today, hug the person next to you. Love will forever transcend polls and politics.”
Big & Rich’s John Rich quoted the Bible as part of a long series of thoughts on the political process, offering a version of Daniel 2:21: “He changes times and seasons; removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge who have understanding.”
Dan + Shay’s Shay Mooney was on the same page with TJ and John Osborne, saying “Treat others the way you want to be treated. No president can make you hate someone. That’s on you. Love each other. It ain’t that hard.”
Jana Kramer may have had the best idea of all, sharing a photo of her nearly-one-year-old daughter Jolie Rae wearing a pink monkey hat. “I think everyone is in need of a smile today,” the Dancing with the Stars contender tweeted. “So here you go… my morning monkey!”
