Faith Hill to Release Final Warner Brothers Album, "Deep Tracks," Next Friday

ABC/Image Group LAThere’s big news for Faith Hill fans, as the “Mississippi Girl” reveals there’s new music on the way in the coming days, though it’ll be the last on her longtime record label, Warner Brothers.

The label hasn’t released a studio album by Faith since 2005’s Fireflies, and three of the cuts on the new collection, Deep Cuts, are songs from that album that weren’t singles, hence the album’s name.  The disc also features songs that weren’t hits from her previous records Faith, Breathe, and Cry, plus three brand new songs.

“Boy” is culled from one of Faith’s most recent trips into the studio, while “Why” is a longtime favorite of her hubby, Tim McGraw. The other, “Come to Jesus,” is also tremendously personal for both Tim and Faith.

“This is for my mom who has wanted me to record a gospel album for years,” Faith says of her mother, who passed away late last month. “It is also very personal for our family because I recorded this song during the last couple of weeks that [Tim’s dad] Tug McGraw battled with brain cancer. Tim played him my rough cut and Tug listened to it multiple times a day until his passing.”

So far, Faith hasn’t revealed what’s next for her music-wise, now that her time with Warner Brothers has apparently come to an end. Tim and Faith head out on their Soul2Soul World Tour April 7 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
