Andrew Lipovsky/NBCJimmy Fallon welcomed recently crowned CMA Vocal Group of the Year Little Big Town to The Tonight Show on Monday, where they revealed some of their personal secrets in a game called “Stranger Strings.”
Fallon sat down with the band’s Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Kimberly Schlapman and Phillip Sweet to play the game he first played with the cast of Stranger Things — they all take turns reading unknown facts about each other, then spraying silly string on the person they think each fact was about.
Here’s what we learned:
–Westbrook won a statewide modeling competition when he was 18 years old. “I’m from a small town,” the Arkansas native explained.
–Fairchild once ditched the cops by driving down a dirt road with her mom in the car. Her mom was not too happy, according to Karen, who told Fallon she was screaming, “stop it!”
–Schlapman can count to 10 in Korean.
–Sweet does a spot-on impersonation of former Doobie Brothers singer Michael McDonald. He proved it by singing a little bit of the Doobies’ hit, “Takin’ It Too the Streets.”
Fallon also revealed that he was a college baseball player — well, at least for one game.
Later, Little Big Town performed “Better Man,” the new single from their album, The Breaker.
