ABC/Image Group LABlake Shelton is reaching out to thank his fans after winning the American Music Award for Favorite Male Country Artist at the ceremony Sunday night in Los Angeles.
The star of The Voice reacted with some of the colorful language followers have come to expect on social media, going on to say, “My 2nd American Music Award?!! I love y’all so much..,” adding “I know it takes time and effort to vote for someone on [an] awards show and I want y’all to know I truly appreciate it… I’m very sorry I couldn’t be there this year. I hope I get that chance again. Still can’t believe it. Thank you!!”
This is Blake’s fourth career nomination at the AMAs, having picked up the male vocalist trophy previously in 2011. His latest single, “A Guy with a Girl,” breaks into the top 15 this week.
