ABC/Image Group LAAfter wrapping up the first leg of their Dig Your Roots Tour and picking up an American Music Award over the weekend, the guys from Florida Georgia Line are looking forward to the same thing a lot of us are — enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday.
“It’s been an amazing year,” Tyler Hubbard reflects. “It’s been, you know, a lot of work, but we really, really enjoy that. But we are looking forward to getting home, seeing the family, kinda spending some down time recharging, for sure.”
Brian Kelley is on much the same page as his musical partner, though his to-do list may be a bit longer.
“Just hanging out with family, hanging out with the dogs, laying low, just doing normal-people things,” he says of his plans. “Just kinda getting off tour and doing honey-dos, fixing up the house, putting Christmas lights up, Christmas trees, enjoying the season, man. It’s a great time of the year, and a great time to reflect as well, and be thankful for our amazing fans and amazing tour that just ended.”
Tyler and Brian don’t have to hit the road again until the end of January, when they re-start their Dig Your Roots trek with Dustin Lynch and Chris Lane.
