ABC/Image Group LAThree special veterans and their families thought they were traveling to High Lifter’s Off-Road Park in Louisiana simply to shoot a promotional video for ATV maker Polaris. But little did they know Brantley Gilbert had a surprise or two up his sleeve for them.
When the two Marines and an Army vet arrived, they found that Brantley had teamed up with the non-profit Disabled American Veterans to give them a day they’d never forget. Not only did “The Weekend” hitmaker spend the day off-roading with the families in the park, he also gave them a command-performance acoustic set.
At the end of the day, the three didn’t just get to enjoy riding the Polaris ATVs, the company gave each of an RZR XP 1000.
“It was my pleasure to share a day with service folks that have given up so much for our country,” Brantley says. “I hope we were able to make this holiday season just a little more special for them and their families.”
You can re-live the day via a new video now posted on YouTube. Brantley’s new album, The Devil Don’t Sleep, comes out January 27.
