ABC/Image Group LAKelsea Ballerini’s new video for her top-25 hit, “Yeah Boy,” is a throwback to the nineties, complete with choreography, neon dancers and a tip of the hat to some of her favorite pop divas.
“I definitely love pushing boundaries and I’ve always loved strong female artists in every genre,” she tells Teen Vogue, which debuted the video. “Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Jessica Simpson are some of my favorites. I probably picked up some of their performance tendencies that I put in my live show and in this video.”
The Best New Artist Grammy nominee wrapped up her headlining The First Time Tour last Wednesday in Houston, just ahead of her videos’s TV premiere Saturday on CMT.
