ABC/Image Group LAToday marks a major milestone in Thomas Rhett‘s career, as he launches his very first headlining tour.
Touted as one of Rolling Stone‘s most anticipated tours of the year, the 2017 Home Team Tour has sold out multiple cities prior to its official kick-off tonight. But the real highlight for Rhett will be on April 21 as he plays the first of two shows in Nashville.
“Anytime I get to show off in front of my friends and family in my hometown and my record label and all that kind of stuff, man, I’m just so excited to play my first big show in Nashville,” Rhett says. He’s also blown away by the fact that the tour has been selling so well, they’ve already added dates. “For the tour to be extended is just a big plus,” he says.
Thomas also can’t gush enough about his opening act and MVP on the Home Team Tour, Kelsea Ballerini: “I’m thanking my lucky stars, we got lucky with a good package bringing Kelsea Ballerini out on the road.”
