A Mitchell woman is charged with two felonies. According to court documents, Police arrested 21 year old Alura Richey Monday for possession of a firearm by a convicted drug felon and possession of stolen property. Police learned through a separate investigation that Richey had a revolver and three long-guns in her apartment. Richey told Police she had the guns and knew they were stolen. The guns are connected with a burglary in Sanborn County. Richey was earlier convicted and sentenced for possession of a controlled substance in 2014.
The charges are each punishable by up to two years in prison and or a $4,000 fine plus restitution.
Richey is set to appear in court on Thursday.
