Chamberlain man convicted of robbery and kidnapping

It took a Davison County jury about three hours Friday to deliver guilty verdicts in the trial of a man from Chamberlain. Davison County Deputy States Attorney Bob O’Keefe says 27 year old Ryan Bruguier was convicted of first-degree robbery and second degree kidnapping following a two-day trial in Mitchell.

Sentencing is set for May 2nd.

First degree robbery is punishable by up to 25 years in prison and or a $50,000 fine plus restitution. Second degree kidnapping carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and or a $30,000 fine plus restitution.
