KORN News Radio 1490 has once again been recognized for excellence in broadcast journalism in the upper Midwest.
The Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association presented three Eric Sevareid Awards of Merit to KORN News Radio at the annual Midwest Journalism Conference in Bloomington, Minnesota.
News Director J.P. Skelly accepted the honors in the Newscast, Broadcast Writing, and Soft Feature categories.
The Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association covers the states of South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Nebraska.
Skelly also presented the Mitchell V. Charnley Award to Cheri Preston of ABC News Radio in New York.
The Charnley Award recognizes journalists with ties to the region for their outstanding contribution to broadcast journalism. Preston is a former morning anchor at WTMJ Radio in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
