ABC/Image Group LA It’s only been a couple of months since the 52nd ACM Awards, but the Academy of Country Music already has more trophies to hand out.
Eric Church, Kelsea Ballerini and George Strait are just some of the big names who’ll be celebrated at the 11th Annual ACM Honors on Wednesday, August 23 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Eric will get the Merle Haggard Spirit Award, while Kelsea will receive the Gene Weed Milestone honor. King George will be given the Cliffie Stone Icon Award.
Dolly Parton will be celebrated for her humanitarian efforts, while former ACM host Reba McEntire will be honored for her service to the Academy. Toby Keith, Willie Nelson and songwriter/author Shel Silverstein will all receive the Poet’s Award, while the TV show Nashville will get the Tex Ritter Film Award.
The 11th Annual ACM Honors will air at a later date as a special on CBS, with the night’s performers to be revealed as the evening approaches.
