ABC/Image Group LAWe now know why Chris Stapleton was forced to postpone three weeks of his All-American Road Show tour and cancel his appearance on the main stage at CMA Music Festival.
In a letter posted to his website, the From A Room singer revealed he’s dealing with “a broken bone & a detached tendon in [his] right index finger.”
While Chris didn’t go into how he suffered the injury, he did detail what his specialist is telling him.
“The doctor is hopeful that with some physical therapy I will be playing guitar again soon,” he said. “Right now, I can’t possibly give you guys the show you deserve. I always want to give you my very best.”
The Kentucky native thanked his fans for all the “positive thoughts and kind words,” while also apologizing for the turn of events. “So many of you have been inconvenienced,” he added, “and I’m grateful for your patience and graciousness.”
An earlier post at ChrisStapleton.com re-iterated that Chris’ team is working to reschedule the eight affected dates, and fans should hold on to their tickets for now.
