River House Artists/Columbia NashvilleFresh off two weeks at #1 with his debut single, “Hurricane,” there’s more good news for Luke Combs.
This week, the North Carolina native’s first album emerges at the top of Billboard’s country albums chart, giving him the biggest debut of any new country artist this year. This One’s for You also makes an impressive showing on the all-genre Billboard 200, moving 43,000 copies to land at #5.
“I’m blown away at the response…” Luke says. “As a songwriter and artist, there is nothing more rewarding or humbling than to have your songs embraced by fans.”
“I’m grateful for all the folks who have shown up to shows over the years, told their friends about these songs and been a part of the path to get here,” he adds.
Expect to start hearing Luke’s sophomore single, “When It Rains it Pours,” on the radio soon.
