Why you should be sure to send Garth Brooks a wedding invitation

ABC/Image Group LA When Garth Brooks says he’ll send you a wedding present, he really delivers.

Back in June, the CMA Entertainer of the Year spotted Jude and Jamie Blanchard in the audience in Lafayette, Louisiana thanks to Jamie’s sign. It read “Best week ever. Garth this Friday. Our wedding next Friday.”

After singing “To Make You Feel My Love” for the couple, Garth inquired as to what the two needed from their wedding registry, adding “me and Mrs. Yearwood, we’ll get it for you.”

Jamie followed up with a wedding invitation, and this week the presents started arriving. At last check, Garth and wife Trisha Yearwood had given the Blanchards a KitchenAid mixer, a Rowenta iron, a Cuisinart meat grinder, two lounge chairs and some patio lights.

The newlyweds were understandably blown away.

“It’s a crazy amount of stuff,” Jamie told Lafayette’s The Daily Advertiser. “I don’t know what I thought he was going to send us, but this is just beyond what we were expecting…I’m really humbled.”

While Jamie is working on her thank you note, Garth and Trisha are spending the weekend playing The Forum in Los Angeles.
