Carrie Underwood's “work husband” gives a shout-out to her real one

Bob D’Amico/CMAA day after Carrie Underwood’s husband Mike Fisher announced his retirement from the NHL, he’s getting some love from Brad Paisley.

“Thank you for your leadership, inspiration, and talent in our community…” Brad shared on Instagram Friday, along with a pic of Mike on the ice for the Nashville Predators. “Excellent hockey player and captain. Best of luck to him in his future endeavors.”

Brad, of course, is effectively Carrie’s “work husband,” having hosted the CMA Awards with her for the past nine years. They’ll make it ten in 2017, when the show airs live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 8.
