ABC/Mark LevineHot on the heels of her #1 duet with Thomas Rhett, “Craving You,” Maren Morris is teaming up with another impressive voice…but this one’s outside of country music.
According to Variety, Niall Horan, who’s perhaps best known as a member of One Direction, reached out to Maren by email, to see if she’d sing on the track, “Seeing Blind,” on his forthcoming debut solo album. Horan’s already scored major solo hits post-1D, with the tunes “This Town” and “Slow Hands.”
Maren jumped at the chance to sing on the track, which Variety describes as having an “acoustic base… along with an infectious chorus accentuated by Morris’ vocals.” Horan played the track at Capitol Congress, a Hollywood gathering this week that previewed what’s coming up on the record label.
The “My Church” hitmaker isn’t the only country artist hanging with the guys from 1D. Next summer, Kacey Musgraves is set to tour the U.S. with Horan’s mate Harry Styles.
