Video directors beware: Kenny Chesney's giving college students your jobs

ABC/Image Group LA To make the brand new video for his top-15 hit “All the Pretty Girls,” Kenny Chesney let two students from Nashville’s Belmont University get behind the camera.

Jessica Martinez and Will Renner stepped into the directors’ chairs for the new clip, which premieres this weekend on CMT. Kenny couldn’t be happier with the results.

“It’s cool seeing this creativity from college kids,” he says. “They understood how to build a storyline and narrative, and they bring a fresh eye to these moments. [The video] is really sweet, and just what this kind of song needed.”

He adds, “I’m as thrilled to be part of Jessica’s college education as I am to have her — and Will’s — creativity be a part of this song.”

The two scored the gig through a radio contest. You can catch the debut of “All the Pretty Girls” Saturday at 9 a.m. ET on CMT Hot 20 Countdown.
