Cole Swindell makes it a record seven number-ones in a row with “Flatliner”

ABC/Image Group LA Cole Swindell becomes the only artist ever to hit #1 with his first seven singles, as “Flatliner” ascends to the top of the country chart this week.

For Cole, his latest chart-topper stands out because it’s a duet with his tour mate, Dierks Bentley.

“Every #1 is special for so many reasons,” Cole says. “This one is really special because it’s a song I wrote with my mentor in mind, never dreaming it would turn out like this for me! Dierks is not only my mentor but my friend and now I have a #1 song I was blessed to get to record with him. He has been so gracious and supportive of me from the beginning. This feels amazing.”

Dierks and Cole wrap up the What the Hell Tour September 2 in Greenwood Village, Colorado. You can check out their performance of “Flatliner” Wednesday night on ABC’s CMA Fest special, which starts at  8 p.m. ET.
