ABC/Mark LevineDustin Lynch’s hit, “Small Town Boy,” is just steps away from becoming his latest number one. Back in June, he got to do the new single from his Current Mood album during his very first appearance on the main stage at Nissan Stadium, during CMA Music Festival.
“That was a dream come true,” Dustin tells ABC Radio. “That was a goal I set for myself as an artist, and I definitely wanted to accomplish that goal in 2017, which I did. Miraculously, it happened, and it was mind-blowing, the whole experience.”
Tonight, you can relive that career high point with Dustin during ABC’s CMA Fest special.
“You know, fifty-plus-thousand people, singing a song on a stage right in the middle of all of ’em,” he recalls. “That’s the biggest stage I’ve ever played on in my life. And to be a part of [the annual ABC special] is such a great honor. You know, a tip of the hat from the CMAs, and that they think enough of me to include me in that group of artists that represents country music on that night.”
You can see Dustin, along with practically every other country star imaginable, when the three-hour CMA Fest special kicks off at 8 p.m. ET tonight on ABC.
