Erika Goldring /GettyIt looks like it’ll be a spring wedding for Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd, who just announced their engagement last month.
As for how Ryan popped the question, Maren’s not giving up too many details — just that she was blown away.
“Oh I sobbed,” she tells Entertainment Tonight. “I mean it was so emotional and so perfect. He’s a very thoughtful human being, and I feel like the proposal was just as thoughtful as he is. So it was perfect.”
Also perfect: the wedding ring.
“I know what she likes,” Ryan explains, “and I had somebody in Canada put it together. The stone is from New York City. It’s from an uncut diamond, and then the rest of it’s cast just custom for her. I couldn’t just buy something. I had to make it something that fit her.”
Maren’s currently working on her sophomore album while her hit “I Could Use a Love Song,” continues its climb in the top-20. Ryan’s debut single is “Love in a Bar,” with a full album set to follow.
