Lady A pitches in to help Hurricane Harvey victims

ABC/Randy HolmesWith two dates this weekend in the Lone Star State, Lady Antebellum found themselves almost in the eye of the storm as Hurricane Harvey assaulted Texas.

The trio was forced to cancel their Saturday show in Houston, but made the decision to give all their merchandise sales from Friday’s concert to relief efforts.

“Thank you guys so much for showing up,” Charles Kelley told the crowd in Dallas. “I know Texas is strong and we’ve got a hurricane going on and…we’re gonna donate all the merch sales tonight to the relief fund.”

“We love playing in Texas,” he said as the crowd roared. “Ya’ll are some of the best fans in the world, some of the absolute best crowds that we ever get to play in front of.”

The storm hits fairly close to home for the “You Look Good” hitmakers. Hillary Scott’s mother, Grammy-winner Linda Davis, is from Dotson, Texas, in the Eastern part of the state.
