Capitol NashvilleLuke Bryan will do his new single “Light It Up” on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry on Wednesday, September 13, during a show dedicated to Country Cares for St. Jude Kids.
Longtime St. Jude supporter Randy Owen also is on the bill, along with childhood cancer survivor Clare Bowen from CMT’s Nashville. A St. Jude patient will serve as the Opry’s guest announcer that night, with five dollars from every ticket sold going to help the Memphis hospital that works to end childhood cancer.
The show also kicks off the Opry’s first-ever series of Wednesday performances in the fall. Darius Rucker, Vince Gill and Brothers Osborne stop by on the 20th, while Chris Janson plays on September 27.
