Blue Chair Bay/Columbia NashvilleWhen Kenny Chesney’s 29-track live set arrives October 27, the ten-year concert retrospective will boast a who’s who of special guest stars, from Taylor Swift to rocker Dave Matthews to Old Dominion, just to name a few.
Eric Church is another guest, joining Kenny for his 2013 hit, “When I See This Bar,” in a performance recorded at Boston’s Gillette Stadium.
“Knowing Eric, I know that he’s lived every note of this song, the same way I did,” Kenny says. “Because it’s chasing your music through little bars, hustling around where the people are right there — and you have to really work for it. That’s when you see how much music can mean.”
“Eric gets that,” Kenny continues. “And that’s why, when he was out with us, it was always the greatest to have him come join us for ‘When I See This Bar’ every night. You can hear in his delivery, he understands — and he means it.”
Just this past weekend, Kenny set a new record at the home of the New England Patriots, selling nearly 122,000 tickets over two performances.
Live in No Shoes Nation comes out October 27.
