Miranda Lambert mobilizes MuttNation to help the animals after Hurricane Harvey

ABC/Image Group LA Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation is pitching in to help the animals in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

Monday, the MuttNation team headed to Houston to lend support to shelters in the municipal area, and by Tuesday night, Miranda herself was doing her part.

“My roommates tonight!” the Texas native tweeted along with a picture of a black dog and at least five puppies. “Mama & newborns born this morning,” she added. “MuttNation rescued 72 dogs today who are being transported to dry safe shelters.”

Wednesday, Miranda shared an update, along with a collage of photos. The pups were relocated to a shelter in Oklahoma, with plans to return to Houston for more.

If you’d like to help Miranda and her nonprofit with their Hurricane Harvey relief effort, you can make a donation at MuttNation.com.
