“61 Days in Church”: Eric proves he's doing a whole lot more than Holdin' (His) Own

UMG NashvilleEric Church’s Holdin’ My Own Tour may’ve ended back in May, but now the performances from that 61-date trek will live forever.

The “Round Here Buzz” hitmaker is releasing thirty live cuts from the tour, as the first wave of his 61 Days in Church project. The tracks will be available exclusively on Apple Music for two weeks, before spreading to the other streaming services.

“I had so much fun learning songs that were unique to whatever city we found ourselves in,” Eric explains. “I learned a lot about each place, and it was special to see the crowd react to the songs that were only for them. I’m glad we recorded it and can relive it forever.”

By the end of the year, Eric will have put out more than 100 cuts, covering all 61 shows. Both a boxed set and a vinyl version will be released on Record Store Day 2018, which will be Saturday, April 21.

You can check out the initial tracks on 61 Days in Church on Eric’s website.
