Old Dominion's outlook on the CMA nominations: “Oh, we got that! We're gonna clean up!”

ABC/Image Group LA Last year, Old Dominion picked up an Academy of Country Music trophy for New Vocal Group of the Year. So what would it mean to the five-man-band to hear their name called when the CMA nominations are announced Monday morning?

“Oh, we got that! We’re gonna clean up,” Trevor Rosen jokes, as lead singer Matthew Ramsey laughs.

“We do pay attention to it some,” Matthew continues, explaining OD’s outlook on the awards game. “You know, it’s not anything that rules what we do. But it is very cool to be nominated for that stuff.”

“It’s still kinda surreal for us to see that we’re included in it now,” the OD vocalist says. “We’ve been a band for a long time, and we’ve been at home watching it on TV. So it’s still pretty new to us.”

In 2016, Old Dominion was nominated for both New Artist and Vocal Group at the 50th Annual CMA Awards. We’ll find out how they fare this year, when Dustin LynchBrothers Osborne and Lauren Alaina unveil the contenders Monday on ABC’s Good Morning America.
