ABC/Lorenzo BevilaquaBrothers Osborne have no tolerance for haters on social media.
When several fans questioned Maddie & Tae’s CMA nomination for Vocal Duo of the Year on Twitter, the reigning CMA and ACM Vocal Duo was quick to clap back.
“because they’re f****** awesome that’s why,” TJ and John tweeted.
Maddie & Tae were quick to express their gratitude: “When your favorite duo shuts down haters for you,” they added, reposting Brothers’ comment. “Absolutely adore y’all…”
It’s worth noting that Maddie & Tae already have a CMA trophy of their own, having won Video of the Year in 2015 for their chart-topping “Girl in a Country Song.” The pair is currently working on their sophomore album.
The friendly CMA competition commences November 8, when Brothers Osborne defend their title against Maddie & Tae, Florida Georgia Line, LOCASH, and Dan + Shay. The 51st CMA Awards start at 8 p.m. on ABC, live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
