ABC/Image Group LA “For Her” becomes the second top-ten hit of Chris Lane’s career this week, following his chart-topper from the summer of 2016, “Fix.”
Thanks to the video the North Carolina native did for the track, the romantic ballad may also be the reason quite a few couples are tying the knot.
“For the music video for ‘For Her,’ we did a real-life proposal, which was so cool,” Chris explains. “But that has now turned into, I get so many messages on the daily, of saying, ‘Hey, I’m gonna be at this show. Can I propose to my girlfriend?’ or you know, whatever it may be.”
While it’s impossible to accommodate all the requests, Chris — an admitted super-fan of ABC’s The Bachelor — says he’s always game.
“I love that. I always try to make that happen if I can,” he says.
Chris continues on Florida Georgia Line’s Smooth Tour through the end of October. He recently marked the one-year anniversary of his Girl Problems album by stripping it down and recording all the tracks acoustically.
