From “Losing Sleep” to “Blacked Out,” Chris Young takes conscious control of new album

RCA For the first time in his career, Chris Young co-wrote every song on his upcoming album, which takes its name from his latest top-25 hit, “Losing Sleep.”

“Every album you make as an artist, you want to continue to grow,” the Murfreesboro, Tennessee native reflects. “And you also want people to be in love with it. That’s such a difficult thing to balance, but I think there’s a little bit of something for everybody on this record.”

The “I’m Comin’ Over” hitmaker also co-produced the project, which, ironically, opens with “Losing Sleep” and closes with a tune called “Blacked Out.”

Here’s the complete track listing for Chris Young’s Losing Sleep, which comes out October 20:

“Losing Sleep”
“Hangin’ On”
“Holiday”
“Radio and the Rain”
“Where I Go When I Drink”
“She’s Got a Way”
“Leave Me Wanting More”
“Trouble Looking”
“Woke Up Like This”
“Blacked Out”
