Warner Music NashvilleBlake Shelton not only released his new single “I’ll Name the Dogs,” on Friday, but he also put out a music video to go with it.
The upbeat, romantic clip features a full-fledged traditional wedding, complete with a dinner, cake, groomsmen and, of course, man’s best friend.
“’I’ll Name the Dogs’ is a bit of a throw-back song for me,” Blake says. “It’s traditional country with fiddle and steel and I’ve got Jimmy Olander from Diamond Rio playing the guitar solo. It brings the sound back a little more traditional for a minute, which I felt like needed to happen musically for me.”
Olander appears in the video as well — you can check it out on YouTube.
Blake is set to sing “I’ll Name the Dogs” Sunday on the Canadian Country Music Awards, which air at 8 p.m. on the CBC.
