ABC/Rick RowellLee Brice recently hosted two events in Nashville to benefit Folds of Honor, an organization that provides scholarships to families of military men or women who have fallen or been disabled. In just two days, Lee and several of his friends helped to raise $100,000 for the nonprofit.
The “Boy” singer’s inaugural Lee Brice & Friends Guitar Pull was held on September 10, while his Record Rock Celebrity Clays Shoot occurred on September 11 — both to benefit Folds of Honor.
“I’m grateful and humbled by the support of my friends, sponsors and the incredible audience at City Winery who not only paid for tickets but participated in the silent auction,” Lee says in a statement. “Together, we’re making a difference in the lives of families who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.”
On Sunday, Brice, alongside friends Charles Esten, Jerrod Niemann, Tyler Farr, Tim Montana, Lucas Hoge, and Nick Norman performed in the round at Nashville’s City Winery. Meanwhile, Monday’s event was held at the Nashville Gun Club and included Esten, Hoge, 3 Doors Downmembers Brad Arnold, Justin Biltonen and Chris Henderson, as well as Ben Gallaher, Lewis Brice, Keith Bulluck of the Tennessee Titans, Craig Campbell, Naomi Cooke, Jim “Hacksaw” Duggan, Rob Hatch, Erin Oprea, Morgan Mills, Lance Miller, Tim Montana, Rich Ross, JD Shelburne, and Storme Warren.
When he’s not helping others, Lee’s busy putting the final touches on his forthcoming self-titled album, due out on November 3.
