Watch now: Lady A’s “Heart Break” — a cinematic video turns into a chance to help Puerto Rico

Capitol NashvilleLong before Hurricane Maria struck the island of Puerto Rico, Lady Antebellum traveled there to shoot the new video for their latest single, “Heart Break.”

“After spending time in San Juan, we fell in love with the area, the culture, the people, and that country — it was just a beautiful place…” Dave Haywood recalls. “We feel personally connected to helping support those affected.”

The trio is giving $200,000 from their LadyAID fund to help with recovery efforts.

“We got to meet so many locals and enjoy everything that Puerto Rico has to offer,” Hillary Scott says. “We are just completely heartbroken to see the devastation.”

The video follows a young woman as she experiences the commonwealth’s capital city, and also throws in a bit of intrigue toward the end.

“One of the coolest things was that all of the dancers in the video were people off the street,” Charles Kelley reveals. “They already exuded such a vibrant energy that’s part of the culture in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean as a whole.”
