C Flanigan/FilmMagicJason Aldean‘s wife, Brittany, is speaking out after Sunday’s deadly shooting in Las Vegas.
“Our angels were definitely watching over us tonight,” 29-year-old Brittany shared. “No words for what happened… Just horrific. Praying for everyone,” she wrote.
Jason was performing during the final night of the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Vegas when the shooting began. More than 500 people were injured and at least 58 were killed after suspected shooter Stephen Paddock opened fire from the nearby Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Police said Monday morning that Paddock took his own life after orchestrating the shooting.
The Aldeans’ weekend started on a much brighter note, enjoying a baby shower with friends, though it’s not clear if it was in Vegas. The duo posted pictures of the gathering on social media. They’re expecting their first child together later this year.
Brittany Aldean announced in May that she was pregnant, nearly two years after she and Jason tied the knot in March of 2015. Jason has two daughters from his previous marriage.
