Luke Combs dedicates performance to Las Vegas shooting victims

Damien Noble AndrewsLuke Combs had finished his set and was standing on the side of the stage watching Jason Aldean last Sunday night when the gunfire broke out in Las Vegas, killing 58 concertgoers.

On Tuesday, Luke returned to the stage at Los Angeles’ Roxy nightclub, and during his set he paused to remember the victims of what is being called the deadliest mass shooting in American history.

“On Sunday, the band and I were in Las Vegas and witnessed indescribable tragedy,” he said, standing on stage alone. “Our world is chaos right now, but we are not going to stop playing music for you. Tonight, we sing and play for the brothers and sisters we lost this weekend and for you in this room who came to be with us tonight because you love and believe in music. This is for ya’ll.”  Luke then launched into a rendition of “This One’s For You,” the title track of his debut album.

Luke is continuing his Don’t Tempt Me with a Good Time tour through December.
